I have received the custom 18x36 birch files today with special 4-drawer configuration. The items are exactly to the specifications we discussed and they arrived before the upcoming long-weekend as I had hoped. I just now (late night) have had the time to put them together. Perfect. I am a repeat SMI customer. I bought 6 of the 5-drawer birch flat files several years ago. The quality and workmanship is outstanding. The files have served me well and I am sure will continue to for years to come. Mine are prominently displayed, not just tucked away in a closet or other seldom used corner as storage.
As my existing storage reached capacity recently, it was an easy decision to go back to SMI for additional units. We made a few minor changes to the design specifications to accommodate some dimensional constraints of my existing space, and we put a rush on the order, both for a very reasonable upcharge. The design changes were executed exactly as specified and the order arrived when promised. The quality and workmanship of the new units is just as good as with the original units. It’s a pleasure to work with a company that maintains such quality over time. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my new units or the service of SMI. They have my highest recommendation.
